Norgen Biotek, a product-focused and innovative Canadian biotechnology company dedicated to the development of powerful tools for nucleic acid and protein sample preparation, today announced the expansion of its nucleic acid and protein purification and clean up products by launching four new kits: the Endotoxin Removal Kits for DNA (mini and maxi formats) and the ProteoSpin™ Endotoxin Removal Kits for proteins and peptides (micro and maxi formats). These kits allow for the rapid removal of endotoxins from DNA, proteins and peptides very efficiently in three steps. These kits are characterized by their effective removal of endotoxins coupled with their high recovery of the biological of interest within minutes. With the addition of these new kits, Norgen now offers an even broader range of products for genomics and proteomics research applications.
Efficient removal of endotoxins from DNA, proteins and peptides is a key first step before injecting such macromolecules into animals for raising antibodies and vaccination. In addition, removing endotoxins from DNA enhances the efficiency of cell culture transfections. These kits have been designed and optimized to specifically remove endotoxins from DNA, proteins and peptides while maintaining high recovery rates for the macromolecule. "Our new endotoxin removal kits represent an exciting addition to our line of clean-up products.
